Hands-on experience building & launching new business lines from scratch, holding accountability across different business scales (Multinational, Corporate, Ruling Royal Family and SMB) & industries. Thinking beyond limits, industries & beyond passionate about innovating through the use of technology to reimagine the future.
Mercedes has had the honour to develop much wider strategic skills & to nurture a growth mindset by working next to entrepreneurial CEO’s & industry leaders. Mercedes’ multidisciplinary journey moves from being a Product Manager, E-commerce Product Manager, E-commerce Manager (contributed to build and launched 3 e-commerce from scratch in Kuwait to a global audience), Business Development Manager to Territory Channel Manager at Microsoft Kuwait, where she held responsibility for the growth of a multi-million $ business.
She is a live testimony to how a growth mindset and risk taking can help shape a career so beautifully and create impact in other ‘s lives to advance communities. Mercedes was 1 of the 30 women selected out of 500 applicants who had participated in the Global Women in Leadership program by Georgetown University x Saudi Arabia’s Qiyadat in 2022.
Mercedes is committed to women empowerment and D&I and aims to bring unique perspectives to surface in a pursuit of empowering sustainable economies at scale. Mercedes had been elected as Committee Co-Lead of the US-born WorldWide Technical Women at Microsoft community to serve and empower over +5K members to thrive in addition she was a Core Team Member of the Diversity and Inclusion Employee Resource Group at Microsoft Spain and built bridges across continents.
As part of Mercedes efforts to empower communities: she is a member of the Women in Business Group at the American Chamber of Commerce in Kuwait, a Board Member at the newly launched Spanish Business Council in Kuwait, a collaborator, Senior Mentor and participated as Guest Speaker at the United Nations House and the National Bank of Kuwait through Harvard Kennedy School-born Girls4Girls NGO and a Podcast Host.
