Bengaluru-Based EV Startup Oben Electric Raises ₹50 Crore In Extended Series A Round

Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler startup Oben Electric has raised ₹50 crore in an extended Series A round, bringing the total amount raised in Series A to ₹100 crore, and the total amount raised to ₹200 crore. The new investment showcases investor confidence in Oben’s ambition to disrupt the electric mobility narrative for the mass market in India.

In the latest round of funding, existing investors participated, as well as new investors Helios Holdings, Sharda Family Office and the Kay Family. The startup plans to use the fresh funds to aggressively expand its retail network, expand manufacturing capacity, and launch new price-sensitive products.

“This extended Series A is a strong validation of our business model and growth trajectory,” said Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric. “We’re not only strengthening our retail presence but also building innovation platforms like the O100—an EV solution aimed at mass affordability.”

Oben Electric has been on a high-growth path since its initial Series A tranche. In just a few months, it has launched 37 retail outlets across 26 cities in 13 states, including Gujarat, Punjab, Telangana, and Odisha. With this new funding, the startup plans to scale up to over 150 showrooms in 50 cities by FY26, while also investing in after-sales infrastructure and capacity enhancement at its Bengaluru plant.

A key innovation in Oben’s roadmap is the upcoming O100 platform—an electric motorcycle priced under ₹1 lakh, designed for Indian riders who demand both affordability and performance. Central to Oben’s strategy is its vertical integration of key EV components—like LFP batteries, motors, and control units—developed entirely in-house to ensure better quality control and cost-efficiency.

“Oben Electric’s blend of strong product-market fit, vertically integrated tech stack, and the founders’ strategic clarity makes them a standout in India’s EV ecosystem,” said Sandesh from the Sharda Family Office.

The Rorr and Rorr EZ make up the company’s current portfolio, urban electric motorcycles with a maximum speed of 95 km/h and a 0-40 km/h speed in 3.3 seconds. Pricing for the base two-watt Rorr is ₹99,999 (110 km range) and its higher versions have a range of 175 km, or three times more range than the base model.

Going forward, Oben Electric is planning for a Series B round for $30 million in late 2025. The funding will allow the company to expand globally and proceed with R&D for new products, as the startup continues to pivot to being a next-generation EV company – “Designed in India for the World.”
