Hyderabad’s clean energy startup HYLENR raises $3 million; Investor says, ‘Their technology is disruptive’

HYLENR, a Hyderabad-based clean energy startup developing heat energy systems using patented Low Energy Nuclear Reactions (LENR), has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Valour Capital and Chhattisgarh Investments Limited.

With the newly raised capital, HYLENR will be able to advance from pilot testing towards commercialization more rapidly, supporting its innovative thermal energy systems for many sectors, including manufacturing, oil and gas, district heating, and clean water desalination.

Founded in 2024, HYLENR, through LENR-based hybrid heat systems, has been focused on changing how energy thermal is generated for industry. HYLENR also has two patents covering the unique design of its product and the process innovations leveraging LENR technology.

Karan Goshar, Partner at Valour Capital, commented, “HYLENR’s LENR technology is truly disruptive, offering a breakthrough in how industrial heat and energy are generated. The scalability and strong safety profile of their systems, combined with a team blending technological excellence and entrepreneurial vision, positions HYLENR as a key player in the global energy transition.”

Siddhartha Durairajan, Chairman and Managing Director of HYLENR, added, “We believe LENR represents the safest and most energy-efficient method for thermal and electrical power generation in the future. Our latest lab results have demonstrated unprecedented energy gain ratios. “This round of funding provides the momentum to concentrate on our product roadmap and scaling efforts.”

Durairajan also stated that early proof-of-concept tests have already begun, generating interest from a number of government departments and large companies. The company’s next steps are to increase manufacturing capabilities and look to enter global markets.

Ram Ramaseshan, Co-Founder, Executive Director, and CEO of HYLENR, stated, “This funding round is a strong vote of confidence in our technology and mission. We have moved beyond proof-of-concept to addressing real-world energy challenges. The capital will accelerate product development and market expansion across key regions including the US, Europe, India, and Japan.”

HYLENR is actively running pilot projects with government institutions and industrial clients to replace fossil-fuel-based heat systems with their LENR-powered alternatives.Their product line is anticipated to include 7.2 kW units for residential use, and 1 MW systems for industrial use.

The team at HYLENR is raising a $25 million equity funding round with strategic and clean energy investors in both the USA and Europe to accelerate its scaling prospects.
