Peppermint Raises $4M Series A to Accelerate Global Growth in EU, Japan, and APAC Markets
Peppermint, a leading provider of autonomous robotic solutions for commercial and industrial applications, has secured ₹34 crore (~$4 million) in its Series A funding round. The round saw participation from JDSS, ENRISSION INDIA CAPITAL, IAN, Vinners, and several angel investors.
The company specializes in robotic systems for floor cleaning, material handling, and support equipment such as docking stations. Its solutions are designed to combat labor shortages, streamline operations, and support sustainability goals. Peppermint’s robots are powered by its proprietary Peppermint OS and “Skateboard” electronics framework, offering energy-efficient, easy-to-deploy platforms that integrate cloud-based dashboards and mobile apps for real-time analytics and data-driven decision-making.
“Today, as industries worldwide face increasing labor shortages and sustainability demands, our autonomous solutions are uniquely positioned to deliver both operational efficiency and environmental benefits. Our current round of funding will help us drive four strategic priorities — enhancing our international product offerings & compliances, expanding into the EU, Japan and APAC regions, advancing our proprietary operating system to support both our robots and OEM partners, and building the infrastructure needed to meet growing demand,” said Runal Dahiwade, Founder & CEO, Peppermint.
Founded in 2019 at SINE IIT Bombay, Peppermint has received ongoing support from a robust network of investors, including NKK Group, Venture Catalysts, IAN, Voxtur Ventures, and more. With this latest round, the company’s total funding now stands at ₹49 crore (~$5.6 million).
Following a successful entry into the U.S. market in 2024, Peppermint plans to channel this new capital into accelerating international expansion through 2026, particularly in Europe and Asia-Pacific. The funds will also go toward enhancing its technology stack, including upgrades to the Peppermint OS and the Skateboard platform.
These innovations are in line with the company’s vision to automate repetitive tasks across industries, enabling workers to transition from low-skill roles to more skilled positions. Peppermint also plans to scale its engineering and leadership teams, bolster manufacturing and supply chain capabilities, and launch new products such as a restroom-cleaning robot, expected between 2025 and 2026.
With proven deployments already demonstrating its value, Peppermint Robotics is well-positioned to scale its multifunctional, easy-to-manage autonomous robots, marking a new chapter of growth and innovation for the startup.
