TattvaX Deeptech Accelerator Launched by i-Hub Gujarat and SanchiConnect to Boost AI and Hardware-Software Startups
To boost India’s emerging deeptech startup ecosystem, i-Hub Gujarat, in collaboration with SanchiConnect, has launched TattvaX, a 90-day accelerator program designed for early-stage startups operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), embedded systems, and hardware-software integration. The program will accept applications and aims to support B2B-focused deeptech founders with a unique combination of technical training, interaction with mentors’ industry experts, and connects to investors. Different from traditional accelerators, TattvaX is focused on providing startups with the frameworks and tools needed to understand the deep complexities of building scalable, AI-hardware products.
TattvaX has been thoughtfully designed to meet the unique challenges associated with building and scaling deeptech ventures in India—where time to market is longer, the cost of capital is higher, and product validation cycles can be complex. During a period of 90 days, selected startups will benefit from technical workshops led by experts from a variety of fields, including edge computing, FPGA-based prototypes, systems-on-chip (SoC), deploying AI models, and cyber security. In addition, participants will receive one-on-one mentorship from industry veterans, engineers, product managers, and go-to-market mentors.
The program also includes masterclasses on regulatory landscapes, product certifications, enterprise procurement, and B2B-sales cycles, alongside investor clinics and access to investors and venture capitalists focused on frontier tech. The culmination of the program is a Demo Day, where each startup gets the opportunity to pitch to investors, industry partners, and media stakeholders.
The program will begin with a two-day in-person launch event, immersing founders in hands-on sessions to sharpen their understanding of complex hardware-software co-design. Topics include embedded system architecture, real-time operating systems (RTOS), signal processing, and cybersecure firmware development—critical skills for startups developing AI-enabled industrial, defense, healthtech, or IoT applications.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Sunil K. Shekhawat, Founder & CEO of SanchiConnect, remarked: “TattvaX embodies our belief that the essence of innovation lies in bringing AI and hardware together. By uniting high-potential startups with industry experts and pilot opportunities, we aim to convert prototypes into scalable B2B solutions that drive real-world impact.” This comment highlights the program’s purpose: to close the divide between concept-stage innovation and commercialization. Deeptech startups are often unable to go beyond proof of concept because they don’t have the level of ecosystem support, and TattvaX hopefully will reduce that deficit by providing access to advanced labs, co-development, and early adopters from the enterprise sector.
The TattvaX program leverages the support of i-Hub Gujarat, the state government’s premier innovation platform. i-Hub was initiated in 2019 by the Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP) and is part of the Education Department, Government of Gujarat. i-Hub is vital to the innovation ecosystem of the state, supporting innovation with grants, incubation, and policy action. To date, i-Hub Gujarat has supported over 620 startups, facilitated more than ₹160 crore in funding, and built a robust network across 20+ districts. The institution runs multiple flagship programs including Startup Srujan to foster ideation and early prototyping among student innovators, Startup Rise designed to scale high-potential startups through acceleration support, and Startup Saksham focused on strengthening market access and investor readiness.
Notably, 30% of i-Hub’s incubated startups are women-led, underlining its commitment to inclusive innovation. Its integrated support system includes co-working spaces, R&D infrastructure, IP assistance, and global exposure through partnerships with academic and corporate stakeholders.
SanchiConnect was founded in 2022 as a leading platform in India’s DeepTech ecosystem, linking startups, investors, and enterprises via a curated model. Focused on sectors like semiconductors, AI, Industry 4.0, and defense tech, the platform enables early-stage ventures to scale via investor roundtables and VC connects, technical reviews and product validation sessions, and access to a community of over 350 deeptech founders and tech evangelists. It also facilitates corporate proof-of-concept opportunities and collaborations. SanchiConnect uses its vast industry network, credibility, and insights to access startups that are solving technically difficult problems with long-term impact potential.
